The Team

The Santa cruz City Fire Department is a group of well trained professional firefighters. We respond to approximately 11,000 calls for service annually. From medical aids and fire suppression to marine rescue and HAZMAT and more this department is an "all risk" department.

  • Medical Aids

    Santa Cruz City fire is an an advanced lifesaving department (ALS) meaning a licensed paramedic responds to all calls for service.

  • HAZMAT

    When a hazardous material escapes containment the HAZMAT team is called out. Individuals on this team hold special certifications that ensure safety of the team and the community.

  • Marine Rescue

    A specialized team within the department the marine rescue team responds to all calls for service that involve swimmers in distress.
